Spencer Glover is a writer, director, and avid gamer based in Los Angeles, CA. His writing and directorial work focuses on stories that blend genre elements with grounded emotional characters and stories. Recent work includes; staffed writer for an audio drama under Issa Rae-led company, Raedio, participation in Disney’s Launchpad program and out of nearly 2,000 applicants was chosen to co-write and direct BLACK BELTS, a coming of age Kung Fu story (available Disney+). Previously, Spencer was selected to participate in the Half Initiative Directing Program (Ryan Murphy TV) and shadowed an episode of FOX’s 9-1-1. As for Spencer’s films: “Message Read” won Best Short Film at the Capital City Black Film Festival and broadcast globally with Vivica A. Fox and the FOX SOUL Screening Room. His films "Black Belts” and "Data", have both screened at multiple Oscar qualifying film festivals with the former earning his lead actor a 2024 NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Performance in a Short Form Series. Glover has worked with major brands such as Disney, Yamaha, Apple TV, Wendy’s, The Hollywood Reporter, Billboard and Remy Martin and has won regional Emmys for his editing work in advertising. His goals include fostering an environment of collaboration and creativity through his production company, RM108.
