Spencer Glover is a writer, director, and avid gamer based in Los Angeles, CA. His directorial work focuses on stories that blend genre elements driven by in-depth characters and grounded emotional stories. Recently, Spencer was selected to participate in the Disney+ Launchpad Short Film Incubator and out of nearly 2,000 applicants was chosen to direct BLACK BELTS, a coming of age Ku Fung story set in Compton (now available to stream on the Disney+ streaming platform.) Previously, Spencer was selected to participate in the Half Initiative Directing Program (Ryan Murphy TV) and shadowed an episode of Fox’s 9-1-1 (Angela Bassett, Peter Krouse). As for Spencer’s films: “Message Read” won Best Short Film at the Capital City Black Film Festival, broadcast globally with Vivica A. Fox and the FOX SOUL Screening Room and earned an official selection to the Geena Davis-led Bentonville Film Festival. His film "Black Belts” and "Data", have both screened at multiple Oscar qualifying film festivals with the former earning a 2024 NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Performance in a Short Form Series. Glover has worked with major companies such as Disney, Yamaha, Apple TV, Wendy’s, The Hollywood Reporter, Billboard and Remy Martin and has won regional Emmys for his editing work in advertising.  His goals include fostering an environment of collaboration, education and creative momentum through his filmmaking company, RM108.
